Not so quickly..

So today, Gnan was a bit too cranky and didnt like being indoors. After almost two hours of a looonnng walk and seeing the cow and calf, I decided to pick him up and get indoors. When I did so, he hit me on my face. I put him on the ground and asked him, 'Gnanu, why did u hit amma?'
He rolled his eyeballs here and there and said 'sorry'. I would have melted in a second, but then I saw his smile that meant 'mummy, I know the magic word!
He knows the right buttons for the right times! Brat.

Just when I thought I got a hang of it, he's learning a few tricks too.

Creating Smiles

Started off small.  Started off though.

Took the kids to a deaf and mute school nearby and donated clothes,  biscuits and stationery.

My inner voice says the feeling of sharing is better than feeling of donating. Would love for Gnan to understand how to feel fortunate and at the same time not like a donater.

Whichever way, hope he learns the language of love! That's what is important!!

No, won't do.

I wonder if all mothers go through this phase like I do. I'm almost surprised most of the time and then with a lot of pride I end up laughing. Weird huh!

So Gnan wanted to play with a few berries we had picked. He wanted it in a dabba and I refused to give him one. Then I obliged and gave him a dabba and he refused to take it. After a lot of argument, I finally told him to take it and at that point he moved behind and refused to even touch it. I looked at him astonished and asked why. He said " Amma, that's the chilli box. If I touch it, my hands will burn."

Imagine. Yes, it was the chilli box. No idea how he knew that. Jaw droppingly happy, let's call it?
